Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.
Changing from External Memory to Internal, will mean that different videos will be available for the camcorder to play back.
And that of course, freshly recorded ones after the change, will be stored Internally, in internal memory or built-in memory in the camcorder.
What problem were you having with playback? finding videos you wanted to play back?
How are the videos 'stuck' on the internal memory, please?
But what is the question you are asking about, or what do you want to solve, please?
Videos in internal memory will usually not be manipulated by anything short of being recorded into it, or being deleted from it.
Have you tried first
1: copying a given video, e.g. 'Video A', to external drive or external storage
2: deleting Video A off the internal memory
Will you give me a few minutes to research this problem a bit more, in case there's a solution I don't know of, please?
Question: are you following the procedure in the manual?
And, if so, what result or error message do you get?
I understand the difference between internal and external memory.
But when you try to move or copy out of internal memory, what happens? what error message?
So... how do you know that an internal memory -stored video is there to copy?
I am sorry to say that I seem not to be making progress on your case, despite my understanding of Sony camcorder memory and storage systems.
With apologies, I have Opted Out, opening the case to other Experts in this category.
Thank you for your patience meanwhile.
