Hi. My Nikon D7100 is still trying to focus with the shutter while having it on back button focus and it quit making the beeping sound while shooting yesterday. How do I correct this?

Hi Linda,

Please hold down these two buttons for 3-5 seconds --

QUAL and +/- button together for 3-5 seconds and it will reset the settings on the camera. After resetting the settings, try using the camera again.

Ok I did all of that and then reassigned my back button focus but it is still trying to focus using the shutter button also. And the beep is still not working either.

It is. and still no beep. I have checked the menu also for the beep to make sure it was not shut off or turned down accidently
