Customer Question

We purchased 2 V-270 video cameras, but the image that we get from the A/V jack is very dark and fuzzy on both of them. I have another similar Panasonic HD with a great picture.
Is there a setting that I am missing? Like made they are stuck in manual focus mode instead of auto focus?

Have you tried different monitors with your cameras?

34;We plug them into USB Video Capture devices. We have 2 of these cameras and have tried them with different laptops. Have another similar Panasonic that works great"

How about with USB? I want you to connect it to a TV using the yellow output. The yellow gives you 480p video, USB and HDMI will give you 1080p resolution. Since you have two of them, and they both do the same thing, I'm thinking it's a manufacturer defect. We'll have to grab the video another way. The USB will work with Windows Vista, 7, 8 & 8.1.

We don't use TV's. We hook the yellow output to our video capture device.

Did you try the USB like I suggested?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
These cameras only have A/V composite and HDMI, no USB output
Expert:  Rusty replied 3 months ago.

You do have USB, it's located right next to the HDMI terminal.

This ain't the good old days, when cameras would stream live video via; fireware, USB & A/V. Believe me I kept buying used mini-dv cameras as long as I could to use those options. Now days, you can only upload pre-recorded video via the USB port.

That is for transferring video to your computer. I want to know if the video is still dark.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
Sorry, I don't have any way to tell. I don't have a card to record any video onto, since we always record right onto our laptops.
