The autofocus motor in my 16-50 2.8 has failed. Is there a way to couple this lens to the camera body motor of my K-3?

Hi. My name is*****'m a camera repair technician with almost 30 years in the business and I'll be glad to help you with your question today.

The simple answer is no, it is a completely different design. AF lenses that are driven by the camera body have a coupling mechanism built in. AF lenses that have an internal focus motor do not and it is not possible to redesign the lens.
