Hi. My name is*****'m a camera repair technician with almost 30 years in the business and I'll be glad to help you with your question today.
This can be caused by several things inside the lens; A bad sensor in the assembly, a bad flex cable that connects the lens electronics to the cameras circuit board, even a grain of sand in the lens drive gears jamming the zoom mechanism.
This is going to require disassembling the camera to troubleshoot and repair byan experienced camera repairman. You may want to check locally for a camera repair shop in your area, or, if you need assistance findinga shop, please let me know and I'll locate one for you.
Please provide a positive Rating so that I may be credited for my efforts. If I can be of further assistance, please ask rather than leave a negative response.
Just a note to see if I can be of any further assistance?
