How old is your Camera?
Also has it been dropped or bumped hard at all?
Hi Thank you for that information. This Is an indication that there is an electronic component failure in the camera;-(
Its not a known issue so it means this is an isolated incident. The nature of electronic components is that they can fail anytime by design unfortunately.
Look at the space shuttle or the billion dollar Hulle telescope that needed replacement parts even when t was new lol.
Luckily for you it s just a camera, and your camera is so new you can exchange it at the store of purchase. I did some research for you and found that generally, this is an excellent camera. So I would stick with that same model if you like it.
Its fully covered under Olympus's warranty for 1 full year.
So they will replace it free of cost even of you no longer have the box;-)
In any case, I will stick with you until this is complete.
