JA: How long has this been going on?
Customer: onlly happened today
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: replade battery & re-incerted card

Check inside the memory card slot with a flashlight and a magnifier (if necessary) to see if any pins are bent. A missing pin will keep the camera from reading the card. Please let me know what you find.

Also, What is your camera brand and model?

There seems to be a very small aberation on the card which I can't remove -the conecting pins seem o.k.
My camera is an EOS 20D

Do you mean a physical piece of the card is distorted or missing missing or that it just will not fit correctly? Does it display the same error with the card removed?
