Hello and thank you for your question, I look forward to assisting you today. Are you trying to open the pictures on your computer or through the camera?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I am tried to open on camera and on windows photo gallery and I get the same reponse from both, invalid file format
Expert:  Dan replied 6 months ago.

Are you connecting the camera directly to the computer or just inserting the SD card?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I have tried from camera and by inserting SD card into desktop slot

The first half of the photos worked but the second half do not. I assume the SD card was to large for the camera. Even so it shows data in the files but they just will not open

The size you are using is just fine. I have the same camera and just started using a 32GB card. Try using VLC Media Player. It works on just about every type of media file and is much better than any of the included Microsoft programs.

Any luck with VLC?
