the lens of my Ixus 80 is stuck. I get the message to 'restart camera'...but the same thing just happens again. Please help

Hello and thank you for your question, I look forward to assisting you today. Place the camera flat on its back on a table, pointed at the ceiling. Press and hold the shutter button down, and at the same time press the power-on button. The camera will try to auto focus while the lens is attempting to extend. You may need to try this several times for the lens to respond. Let me know how you come out.
