Canon dc110 new batteries will not charge when plugged into a new charger. Red light does not come on to indicate batterly charging. Camera will not operate while plugged in.

Customer: My Canon Dc110 battery would not charge. So I purchased a new one.When I installed the new one, it still would not charge. the Red light would not come on. So I purchased a new charger and get the same results. The camera would not operate even when plugged in.
