Olympus E-PL7 16MP Mirrorless Digital Camera with 3-Inch LCD

Customer Question

Olympus E-PL7 16MP Mirrorless Digital Camera with 3-Inch LCD with 14-42mm EZ Lens (Silver) - I bought my camera 8 months ago and am having issues for the first time. When I take a photo the camera shuts down automatically. The battery is working, everything else is working. However, when I click to take a photo, the image doesn't come out, the screen stays dark and it turns off automatically.

Yes.

Every time I take a photo the image goes dark and it turns off automatically. I turn it on again and everything works fine, but I can't take any photos.

Do you by chance have another SD card you can try?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
No, but the one I have is new. Bought it last year with the camera.

Do you have any photos stored on the card now? If not, try formatting or erasing the card while it is inserted in the camera then try taking another picture.
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I don't have any photos stored right now. The first thing I did when I started having this problem was erasing all photos. I have reset the camera various times as well. Still not working. Every time I try to take a photo, the camera then turns off.

This is beginning to sound like the battery is not maintaining enough charge to operate the camera, even though it indicates it is fully charged. I would suggest you try a different battery to see if that's makes a difference.
