Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question. I would advise you to try a different memory card, but not one of very large size/capacity. Also, look into the memory card slot, with a flashlight if necessary. What do you see there? anything like bent pins, or perhaps dirt, broken pins, etc.? The 'pins' I speak of, would be the metal terminals that contact the metal terminals on memory cards, to read from or write to them. How old is the camera? in months or years since you bought it.Has the camera been dropped or otherwise subjected to mechanical shock(s) in its lifetime?Has the camera been operated in or subjected to, temperatures below 32 degrees F (freezing point) or above about 100 degrees F ?Has it ever been subjected to a humidity higher than 85 % or gotten wet ?Has the camera been operated in a gritty or sandy environment, such as a beach, a seaside, a construction site, or the like?

Well, it might be that the camera's memory card slot is at fault, too, as well as that the memory card might be damaged (which can happen, if they are treated too casually.) The best way to determine that is to get another memory card... if it also does not work, then there is a problem with the memory card slot for sure. Examining the pins inside the memory card slot could reveal a problem.
