Customer Question

CANON Powershot S5is. Keeps saying "change batteries". Have renewed Date battery, & several lots of new camera batteries. Cleaned terminals & battery ends. Anything can be done now (on holidays)? or does in need repair ? or Renewed. ?

Make sure the camera is off, and then remove the battery and memory card. Close the battery door. Press and hold down the on/off button for 1 minute.Release the on/off button, and reinsert the battery and memory card and power the camera on. Let me know what happens.

Okay then there is the possibility the battery tab in the bottom of the battery compartment is not making contact with the battery. Try reaching in with something like a dental pick and see if you can pull it up a bit to make better contact.

I spent 3 hours with you, doing what I had already done myself yesterday.Very basic stuff., Had hoped for more involved help. Very disappointed, will not recommend. The deposit was a complete waste of money. Errol Wood
