I am having trouble saving my photos to an external hard drive

Customer Question

I am having trouble saving my photos to an external hard drive by folder instead of just photos. I have labelled these photos but none of this info is saved onto the hard drive. I had a Canon and now I have a Panasonic Lumix. I took photos the other day and I was only able to download half of them and then I installed the Lumix disc and could download the photos but now I have the other problem of saving them.

Hi there and welcomeTo clarify, the issue is, whilst you can download the photos to your computer, you are unable to put them onto an external drive correct?

Not exactly. I have had no problem with my camera since I bought it a few months ago until yesterday. I had to install Photofun on my computer in order to download the pictures. After I labelled them I tried to save them to my external hard drive. I could save them but not in a file format like all my others and I also lost all the labelling that I had did.

You labelled them in Photofun?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I had to download them to Photofun because I could not download them to the pictures folder on my computer as I could see no pictures there. I could see them and label them on Photofun but when I saved them to my external hard drive they saved individually instead of by folder and the labelling was missing.

ok, the labelling you cannot save, that's only within the Photofun program. When you have the camera connected to the computer, press the windows key + EThen in the window that opens, click on this PCThen tell me please what is listed under devices and drives.

I have been sent an email asking to rate you concerning this question. I am sorry but I don't feel that I can rate you because we only exchanged a few emails and only questions were asked and I realized what the answer was myself. This does not reflect your work only the fact that none of the rating choices I was given apply to this situation. .
