It sounds to me as if the MENU/OK button is defective from the store. Who knows what else is wrong with this camera? I suggest packing it up in original packing (if possible) and taking it back to the store you got it from for a refund or an exchange for another, working, camera. ASAP, hopefully before the return/exchange period runs out.
If it has run out, then contact FujiFilm USA, and put in a defective-within-warranty claim on the camera for within-warranty servicing for free.
