Olympus TG-2 will not come on, screen says "no connection"

Hi there,

Expert:  Pete replied 10 months ago.

This can happen if the camera thinks it should be connected to a computer.

If there is a data cable connected to the camera, try removing it then try turning the camera on again.

Let me know if that works?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
The cable is not connected. The "no connection" message does not always come on, but when it does I have then held the RED button down for ten seconds, all to no avail. What's next?
Expert:  Pete replied 10 months ago.

Ok, then the camera may "think" there is a cable connected. Can you try plugging and unplugging the data cable several times and let me know if the message goes away?

Also check inside the data connection on the camera for any buildup of debris - if any debris has accumulated there, then it will cause the camera to think that something is plugged in. Try cleaning out any debris that has built up inside the connector.
