Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.
This page has many suggestions for removing the head of a Manfrotto:
and the one that seems to have worked involved putting a drill bit in a certain place and tapping it.
I regret that I have no further info to offer on this subject, and with apologies, I have Opted Out in favor of a better-experienced Expert on this specialty matter.
Hi. My name is*****'m a camera repair technician with over 20years in the business and I'll be glad to help you with your question today.
The tripod head simply screws onto the base plate and is held in place by set screws you need to loosen from the under side of the base plate.
Just a note to see if I can be of any further assistance?
Unfortunately, Manfrotto does not have instructions on how to remove the tripod head. On all of the tripods I've changed the heads on simply unscrew from the base plate once the set- screws are loosened from the bottom of the base plate. Have you looked at the underside of the base plate for the set-screws?
