I tried various ports on my USB hub. Tried unplugging other devices from the hub. Plugged directly into the back of my iMac. Looked at the Canon site for new drivers. Plugged/unplugged camera. Tried connecting and then turning on. Tried turning on the camera and then connecting. Looked in the Finder and I don't see the camera. Tried to see if I could directly plug in the camera's card into my computer but it is too big.

I might mention this is for work and for a magazine article/photo spread with a short deadline and turnaround.

The first thing I would do is check to make sure you have the latest firmware on the camera, which is 1.0.9. If not, you can get it here to install.

Also, be sure to try a different USB cable. That is a common cause of this problem. If neither helps, let me know and we can go from there.
