Hi there and welcome

Can you remove the battery from the phone and then hold the shutter button down for 60 seconds then release.

Then connect the battery, turn it on and tell me if it now charges please.

It is the voltage regulator on the mainboard that has faulted that sends the power to the battery.

This confirms it as we have ruled out the firmware and battery as the issue

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the camera to have the mainboard replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.

I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

where do i send it and how much will it cost?
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

You return it to the place of purchase, they handle the repair for you, being under warranty it is free at no cost to you.

If the warranty has expired, it will depend on the cost of the part in your location and labor, but is on average $200 so if the warranty has expired, then get a pricing first as it can be more economically feasible to purchase a replacement camera in that event.
