Hi, my name is ***** ***** it would be my pleasure to help with your issue today.

The first thing that I would like you to check is the memory card itself. Some memory cards have a write protect switch on them that prevents new images being saved to the card or deleted. It will be a tiny switch on the side of the card. Make sure that this switch is in either the unlocked or off position.

I gave up and tried another card and it works now. Thanks for the reply

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. If a different card works for you then that's actually good news since that's much cheaper than an issue with the camera. To use that card for a back up, try installing the card directly into a computer using either the computer's memory card slot or an external memory card reader. If you don't have either of these, you can purchase an external reader at most any store that sells electronics for less than $10.

Once you have the memory card connected to a computer, go to start>my computer>right click on the new disk that shows up under devices with removable storage>then click format>set the file system to FAT32>then click Start t0 format the card. Once it's complete, try the card in your camera once again. You may need to format the card in your camera using the camera's setup menu the first time you use it.

Hope this helps. Let me know if there's anything else that I can do to assist you.
