Customer Question

I have a fairly new Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS35 Camera. It is my second one. I bought it at Walmart this year. Unfortunately, there appears a small dark spot both on the screen and my subsequent photographs. The spot is not on the front of the lens, but somewhere on the inside. What to do?

Hello, my name is Rusty. How long have you had the camera?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Less than a year, perhaps April.

Ok, smudges on the inside of the lens, or on the image sensor cause the dark spot. It's due to either electronic failure (sensor) or it had not been kept clean at the factory (inner lens).

Panasonic doesn't make it easy to get your warranty repair, but you are covered for parts and labor for one year. I've had to spend significant time gathering their warranty contact info. Here is where you send it:

PANASONIC FACTORY SERVICE CENTER
4900 GEORGE MCVAY DR, MCALLEN, TX###-##-####br />

You will need to call them to make sure it doesn't get lost. They will give you further instructions to take advantage of your warranty.

They are open for another 2 hours today, let me know if they give you any grief. :-)
