Am thinking about purchasing Leica binoculars as a gift - for concerts and travel around $1,000. Any recommendations?

Hello & Welcome to Just Answer,

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:
1) Have you look at ANY binoculars for this gift in the recent past?

2) Are you looking for any particular SIZE (such as "compact")?

3) What type of "Travel" are you referring to, and what kind of "activities" that will occur during that travel?

4) Do you have any LOCAL stores (such as sporting goods stores) that MAY have the particular binoculars available - for you to at least TRY?

Thanks

Hi again,

After looking over your planned use of these binoculars again (concerts & travel), I believe that you ARE looking for "compact" versions (because of weight & size).

To show you a list of compact Leica binoculars, I did a search online (at Amazon) and have a link to the results below.

Click here --> Search Results for Compact Binoculars

You may want to take a look at each of the results, and even look over the reviews to see how other folks thought of these.

I would also recommend that if you can find a local store that carries these same models that you MAY want to make a visit and take a look at the actual binoculars yourself, and maybe even compare them to others they may have in the store. I find that this is the best way to really "judge for yourself" - that they will fit any particular use or application.

I hope this helps give you a couple of resources to get you started with your selection. Please let me know what you find or if you have any more questions.

Take Care & Happy Shopping, Greg A.
