Customer Question

My Olympus VR-340 in movie mode stops after 20-30 seconds. Sometimes it display a "busy" message, and them goes back to photo mode by itself and stops shooting a movie. I have reset the camera to factory settings but nothing seems to help. Can you advise a solution. The camera is brand new.

Hi,

Hi, What is the type (SD or SDHC) and size (capacity in gb) of your memory card? How have you been using it? Taking shots then downloading and erasing or just storing everything on the card?Is it filled to near capacity? Finally, what is the Speed Class (the number in the circle)?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'm using an 8GB microSD in an SD adapter. It is largely empty. I have not downloaded any pictures yet. The number in the circle appears to be a 4.

OK. The problem is that a Speed Class 4 card is too slow for the high resolution video that this camera takes. Generally, the minimum recommended is 6, but considering the fact that yours is only recording for about 30 seconds, you will do best with a card with a speed class of 8 for your purposes.
