I have a samsung hmx-f80 hd black digital camcorder, it's been working fine, now all of a sudden when I press record video, it just freezes up, the red record dot appears on the monitor, but it just freezes, the photo part still works, but video freezes, what can I do about this problem.

I suspect that you should, first, check your storage medium for the camcorder. I think that would be an SD card or other memory card.

Some memory cards won't allow video to be recorded onto them, because they are not fast enough. Individual memory cards won't allow video recording because they are almost full or entirely full of previously-stored data and cannot store more video (but still would have capacity for a photo or two more.)

What memory card do you have in the camcorder at present?
