Customer Question

I just got my cool pix s3600 out of the box. Got it set up, and the zoom doesn't work. When I turn it on, it immediately zooms in completely and won't zoom out. Help!

Hi,

If you are positive that the battery is fully charged (this is very important) according to the estimated charge time in the manual. If no please do so. If the problem still exists, then the camera is definitely not operating correctly and has a factory defect. You should return this unit to the point of purchase for an exchange or refund depending on your preference. If the return give a problem, you can contact Nikon, at the link below, for warranty service.

Please keep in mind that my diagnosis & solutions provided are directly dependent on the accuracy of your description of the problem. As with any "do it yourself" fixes, success is a "team effort", since I can't see or touch the camera, and relies on the customer's manual dexterity and ability to follow the instructions well.

If you require additional information, please use the Reply to Expert Tab to contact me. Click the ratings only after our exchange is complete and you are satisfied.

If, and only if my answer to your question is helpful and you are Satisfied with it, please leave Positive Feedback.

Thank you
