I presume that you have tried pairing them even next to each other and it continues to say out of range. Please try turning both the camera and the monitor on then click menu, then select the 3rd icon. Next select cam1 and hit the pair button under the camera before the timer expires. You may have done just that but I need to be sure it was done correctly.

Just to confirm, you pressed the pair button on the actual camera itself on the bottom?
If that does not work then try resetting them and preforming the pairing again.
If still having problems then you may wish to get ahold of warranty support for repair options, so long as it is not interference from another device in the area.
