I'm sorry about the issue. After turning on the camera, and plugging in the camera to computer, then open Computer, then open the camera device and/or camera's drive letter there, then open the DCIM folder and/or any subfolder, then do you see the photos there?
And/or let's try this: disconnect the camera from the laptop, then take out the memory card from the camera, then insert the memory card to the memory card slot on the laptop, then see if you can import photos.
