I'm Elizabeth. I have a Nikon D90 and my problem is when I press the shutter button on top of the camera, nothing happens, it's as if there's something sticky and I have to keep pressing in order to get my photo

Hi Elizabeth,This can happen if the button is worn out, or if something has gotten in underneath the button, and is preventing it from making good electrical contact. You can try cleaning around the shutter button using a pin or by blowing compressed air around it, however in most cases the camera will need to be disassembled and professionally cleaned by a camera repair tech to get the button restored to good working order again.
