Customer Question

Does my easyshare camera have an archival feature?
I pressed a wrong button while trying to take pictures. I pressed something in the viewing feature that wound up either deleting or storing. I would not press delete so where are they? about 100 pictures seemed to have vanished off of my camera.
I recentlly took 8 pictures at the bowling alley for parents and now I cannont find them. They just disappeared without me pressing any button. What is going on?

there seems to be in the settings feature either an internal storage or memory storage, which i am assuming is the memory chip that you insert. I do not want to press buttons and mess it up further but there maybe a lot of the pictures in the internal storage. I just do not know how to retrieve them.

Hi,Unfortunately there is no archive feature, on this model camera, but, the good thing is that the photos should still be on the memory card. A single corrupted file coul cause you not to be able to find your photos. The solution is to use either the card slot on the computer or a USB card reader so that it will show up in "My Computer" as a removable drive and you can open the picture folders on your computer and access all of the files on the memory card.If the photo files that you re seeking have actually been deleted, then, they can possibly be recovered using photo recovery software. (Your odds are better if you have not continued shooting with the card) Photo recovery software accesses a memory card just as if it was a hard drive, so you will need to use the computer. You will need to take the memory card out of the camera and put it in the card reader before you can start the recovery. Connect the memory card so that it can be accessed like a removable hard drive on your computer. Once recovered and transfered to the computer you can format the card and it should be usable again. For windows Try the Program Download at the link below. (This one will allow you to recover up to 1gb of photo files absolutely free and save them to a new folder on your hard drive.) http://www.powerdatarecovery.com/free-file-recovery-software/how-to-recover-photos-from-memory-stick.htmlMake sure that before you open the program, after installing it, put the card in first. When you open the program, it will try to detect it when you click on "Media Recovery". If unsuccessful try (The ones below have a charge to save the recovered files)http://www.tech-pro.net/flash-recovery.html or http://www.cardrecovery.com/For Mac Try http://www.cardrescue.com/ , http://www.stellarinfo.com/mac-photo-recovery.htm or https://www.piriform.com/recuvaIf the program is able to recover the photo files you will be given the option to purchase (usually around $40) the function that allows you to save and retain your photo files. Depending on how important these photos are, can determine if the cost is worth it.Also, some retail camera shops and office supply stores offer Memory card recovery services if you do not feel comfortable running the process yourself. If you require additional information, please use the Reply to Expert to contact me.
