My scene display does not work. Camera powers on OK, can view stored pictures but no picture operation.

Hi Sorry for the delay Just to confirm, you can't view liveview through the screen, can you try taking a picture and confirm this is also blank..

That is correct and taking a picture comes out blank also.

Unfortunately that indicates the CCD array has failed, the camera would have to be dismantled to attempt to repair this.
How old is the camera? Repair may be uneonomical as costs could run up close to the cost of a new camera let alone the value of this one..

2 years old. What is the CCD array?

It is the sensor that captures the image, if the rest of the camera is working otherwise (screen, menu functions etc) then this is the likely issue, it has either failed or come unseated

When you get to the stage that you have removed the lcd you will see the array in the center of the lens assembly. Check the connection of the ribbon cable to the main board.
