I have a Nikon Coolpix s800C and took pictures using just the internal memory. During my trip the screen stopped working, although the camera still powers on. However, I cannot download my pictures since I can't see any prompt when I plug in the USB to my computer. How do I get my pictures off?

Hi,
It is not possible to transfer photo files directly from the internal memory to the computer with this model. You must first get a memory card. The photos must be Copied to the memory card from the internal memory, first then transferred to the computer using the instructions below.
Tap the playback mode icon (playback mode)
Press the Menu button & select Copy
Select Camera to Card
Tap All Images
Tap OK

Since my screen is not working, will I be able to "tap" on the icons you mentioned? If that still works, I would need to know where those icons are on the screen since it's black.

If the screen is not showing anything, you may not be able to use the touch features at all, but, it is worth a try. If touch does not work you can try to arrow the correct position & press the Menu button.

Go to page 63 to see the position of Copy (after pressing Menu in Playback mode) You may be able to arrow right 4 times to get to Copy
The information about Copy will send you to page 50 IN THE REFERENCE SECTION. (Binoculars beside the page number) Try to follow the pictures displayed there.
