Ok, let me research for a second. I'll be right back.

Ok, that error is something that can't be fixed by the end user. It is an aperture mechanism error. This is the mechanism in the camera that controls the iris in the lens. It can be damaged by rough handling of lenses especially when mounting them to the camera but that does not mean it is your fault. It sometimes just fails.
It will have to be looked at. What is your zip code?

Ok, assuming that the camera is no longer covered by warranty, the Sony Service group has partnered with Precision Camera for repairs.

Could I take it to a local camera shop?
Expert:  Steve G. replied 1 year ago.
You could but I would try and pick someone that is experienced with Sony. Sony is not one of the big two (Canon/Nikon) so finding someone who knows what they are doing is not necessarily easy.
