my nikon 9000 is not working Nikon repair cannot fix it as it needs a new power supply and no part available as per Nikon service. is there a workaround?
Hi there. My name is XXXXX XXXXX it would be my pleasure to help with your issue.

I wasn't aware that Nikon is no longer servicing this model. If they aren't that's gonna make finding repair parts for it very difficult. I'm gonna post a link here for you to a third party repair service that I use with great success. Give them a call and let them know what the issue is and make sure that they can get parts for it before sending it in.

If they cannot get the parts for it any longer, then the only other option will be to get another scanner of the same model to farm parts out of. I've checked Ebay, and there don't seem to be any on there right now, but keep an eye out and you may be able to find one for parts for a reasonable rate. The for parts scanners are usually $300-500.

Hope this helps. Let me know if there's anything else that I can do to assist you. Please don't forget to accept and leave a positive rating if I've been helpful. Thanks!!!

Sorry about that. I gave you the wrong link. It's still precision camera, but a different one.

new link is to Precision camera as well

Second link is to a different company in Texas. It's called precision camera and video. It's been a little while since I've worked with them, but the guy that I dealt with's name is Dave. The first link I sent you is for a different company with the same name in Conneticut.

i contaced both links, neither work on scanners. second link directed me to a third company, also in Texas, but they cannot help either.

in the meantime, i contacted Nikon parts directly, who poked around and discovered there was a new part number fotrthe PS and they do have them in stock, so now i get to take the scanner back to Nikon.

That's great. Sorry about the other company not working on them anymore. Thanks for letting me know that Nikon is still going to repair it. I've occasionally got customers looking to get one of these repaired and it's good to know that Nikon will still do the repairs.
