Customer Question

The SD memory card in my camera stopped letting me take pictures. It was a new card, I had been taking pictures for three days when it suddenly stopped. A message said that the card could not be read and needed to be reformatted. Now I can't get my pictures or even view them. What can I do to retrieve my pictures?

Optional Information:
Make: Kodak
Model: EasyShare C513

Already Tried:
I have removed the card and then reinserted, I tried to download onto my albums in Kodak, and I tried veiwing them on an electonic picture frame that runs a slide show of the pictures on the card. Nothing worked.

Hi, did you try to read the card in a computer?

No

Ok - that's what you need to do to recover the pictures. You need to get a computer SD card reader. They cost around $5, and plug into a USB port on your computer.

You will then be able to run a recovery program and get the pictures back. You can get the recovery program from:

Thank you,

J.
