When I review shots on my 5D mk11, the extreme white areas flip between black and white. The flip is about 1s interval. What is the cause & how do rectify this?

In the menu under the 4th tab (2nd blue playback tab), make sure that the Highlight alert (on/off) - shows clipped highlights is off that should turn off your flipping white areas that are showing extremely bright areas in your photos
