I have a 70mm-300mm AF LD lens (Pentax K-mount) that dropped on the ground and the zoom no longer works. Can it be repaired and approximately how much would it cost, please? The lens was mounted on my Pentax K-5, which is still working.
Optional Information: Make: Tamron Model: AF LD 70mm-300MM Already Tried: Nothing.

Hi,While it is possible to have your Tamron lens repaired, it may not be very cost effective for you. Considering the age and present value of this, paying the cost of having it repaired , approximately $100 -$120 is too much. The standard "rule of thumb" is if the repair cost is greater than 50% of the value of the camera, it is not worth it. A good used or refurbished Tamron 70mm-300mm AF LD lens (Pentax K-mount) can be purchased for as low as $75 - $100 and a brand new one (with warranty) for as low as $175If, and only if my answer to your question is helpful and you are Satisfied with it, please leave Positive Feedback. Thank you
