Hi,

Does the camera attempt to focus when you press the shutter button half way?

Do you have another lens to try:

Customer replied 338 days and 10 hours ago.

It doesn't try to focus

Do you have another lens to try:

Will the camera shutter fire in manual mode?

Customer replied 337 days and 8 hours ago.

The shutter sounds like it is firing but there is no pic. and the Err message comes back

I reset the camera and that didn't help.

Remove the lens set the camera in manual press the shutter button and observe the mirror. Does it flip up? If so then the problem is with the image sensor or mechanical shutter. If the mirror does not move then it is a sub-mirror failure which is a little less expensive to have repaired

Please keep in mind that my diagnosis & solutions provided are directly dependent on the accuracy of your description of the problem. As with any "do it yourself" fixes, success is a "team effort", since I can't see or touch the camera, and relies on the customer's manual dexterity and ability to follow the instructions well.

If, and only if my answer to your question is helpful and you are Satisfied with it, please leave Positive Feedback. Thank you
