Hi, I have a Nikon DX that suddenly stopped showing its back display. Its still taking pictures ok, but not showing on screen. Is there posibly button combinations that I might have hit and shut it off?
Hi there and welcome to Just Answer. I'm sorry to hear about your camera. I will try and give you an accurate and precise answer.
Can you tell us the full model of the Nikon please. That way we will be able to help you better.

If you press the MENU button on the back of the camera, do you see the menu on the LCD?
No there is no picture, menu or anything on the back any more. When i turn it on or off it has a grey lighting to it that goes out. but no picture any more.
Unfortunately the camera is faulty and will need to be repaired.
Since it is most likely out of warranty, I would probably consider sending it to United Camera - I am in no way affiliated with them but they do good work.
They will repair your Nikon for about $130 according to this page: http://www.unitedcamera.com/nikon-d3000/#ShowSelections

Ok, I guess I was hoping for a hidden battery, or I hit a combination buttons by mistake. I can still use the camera, so till i can get some money Ill check on that web site. Dont know any good repair places here were i live, that havent raked me over before. I got this camera through my school for my art classes. Ill check with them first. But like i said, its still taking the pictures just cant view them. I thank you for your time and advice
Yes, if the Menu button brings up nothing, then you have a faulty camera unfortunately.
