I just bought , at auction,, a 5 camera security system. They are luk works model CPS 110i. I have installed theWilife command center software. All is well except when the instructions tell me to connect the Home Plug USB Receiver to the computer. None of the cameras have a usb connector on them! I can plug the camera power into the ac outlet and the camera into that - they are all the same! Am i missing a part here or is my old brain on slow drain?
Hello & Welcome,
Sorry I didn't see your question earlier.
Hopefully you didn't pay too much for this system, as it appears you may have NOT received the USB receiver for this system. Apparently, this was a "failed project" by Logitech from a few years ago. Most references to the website (lukwerks.com) lead to a "not found" page from the logitech site.
But I did find a few details on the system at another site. Please check out the following link for details of the system:

On that page you will find two links to PDF files that were the owner's manual and the online user guide. I would recommend looking at the online guide document, as it seems to have the most detail. I basic summary is that the cameras transmit the signals over the power lines to a receiver that was plugged in somewhere else in the home, and that receiver module has a USB connector that connects to a computer.
Apparently it was a pretty expensive systems, at about $200+ for a starter system (1 camera, 1 receiver & cable, + software). I even found one of these systems listed for just over $300 on eBay (see here). If you look at that link, you may notice that several "offers" have been made, but I see none that have been purchased. I assume this is because the people that look at this system know that it has been discontinued and there is no support available for it.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX
