I had my bulldog dipped yesterday for demodectic mange. It was her second dip. She did fine the first time and seemed fine yesterday when I brought her home. Today, however, her gums look really white to me and she seems lethargic. Also I looked outside while ago and she was lying down and when I called her she wouldn't get up. I ran and picked her up and brought her in. She is up and walking around and drank some water and is responding well when I talk to her but she is acting really lazy. My vet is out of town today and I don't quite know what to do. Should I take her to another vet? You should also know she just had her first dose of Ivermectin today. 1cc of ten mg. She also had a 500 mg capsule of amoxicillan.
  • Our 8 month on male English Mastiff starting limping about

Our 8 month on male English Mastiff starting limping about one month ago. Nothing major, just appeared to be a slight limp. He was favoring his right leg. We took him to the vet yesterday and they did an X-Ray and he has a hole the size of one's thumb on the back side of his humerus. It is above the elbow. The hole appears to be smooth and not rigid. Our vet does not know what this is and said that if it was OCD he has never seen it look like this. I have spoken with the breeder and she says she has never heard of anything like this. He weighs 108lbs and is healthy in every other aspect. They are saying that because of his weight and his rapid growth, that soon his bone will snap if he moves a certain way or falls. Any feedback would be great. Thanks. The last thing we want to do is put our dog to sleep.
