Customer Question

Hi,My bunny was her usual self until about 1h or 2 ago. She doesn't really want to move anymore which is unusual for her. She sits in a ball, which can be normal but she looks uncomfortable and shakes. I gave her a little piece of carrot that she routinely gets at night and always is very excited to eat, but she wouldn't touch it. she was just at the vet a week ago for a yearly check up and the vet said she was healthy. What should I do? I have critical care by Oxbow, should I use it?
Thanks.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but can you tell me:

How long since she last ate?

Are her gums pink or pale/white? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, does she have any discomfort, tenderness, or tensing?

Does it feel bloated or sound gassy?

Could she have eaten something she should not have (ie toys, plants, chemicals, etc)?
