Hi, I can help you with you question today.
When is the last time Zac was able to defecate?
Is he still eating well?
Is he straining to go?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
2 days ago.not eating and is straining has been eating dry dog food.
Expert:  brisadog replied 1 year ago.
OK. Because he is straining and refusing to eat, I do recommend having him evaluated by your local vet. I would start with a physical exam, x-ray of his abdomen to see how much stool is impacted, IV fluids and one or more enemas.
If you are unable to get him to a vet right away, you can encourage him to drink as much as possible with dilute chicken broth or dilute water from a tuna can. Offer him a bland diet of boiled white rice and boiled chicken which is easily digested and will leave little waste product.
You can also add OTC human Miralax to his food twice daily. How much does Zac weigh?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
about 40kgs
Expert:  brisadog replied 1 year ago.
OK, I would start with 1 teaspoon of Miralax mixed with his food twice daily. This can be adjusted as needed to maintain normal stool consistency.
Please let me know if you have further questions. I am happy to continue until I provide the service that you seek.

Hi Anita,

I'm just following up on our conversation about Zac. How is everything going?
