Hello!Thank you for your question, I'm Dr. Dan and I'll try to help you.Is this baby rabbit's eyes open or are they closed? Dr. Dan
Hello!
I'm Crystal. Thanks for the help. The eyes are open.
If the eyes are open then this rabbit no longer REQUIRES mom, mom just helps out. Mom doesn't reject offspring by scent but she will reject him/her if it is out of the nest for days at a time and then magically returns. If you wish to return this rabbit to the nest then I'd do so as soon as possible. If you decide to keep this rabbit then you need to check with local wildlife laws as they often do apply to rabbits. If it's ok to keep it then it is feed as much grass hay (timothy) as possible dark leafy greens, 1/8 of a cup of rabbit pellets per day and then occasional fruits and veggies as treats. Dr. Dan
Ok! Thank you so much Dr. Dan!! Your advice was extremely helpful! I appreciate it!
