Hello, I am Dr. Peter a licensed Veterinarian. I would like to help. I need to ask you a few questions to be well informed and give you the best advice. There is no additional charge for information request.

1- How long has she been in season?
2- Is she discharging more than usual?
3- Is the discharge thicker?
4- Is she drinking more than usual?
5- Any other symptoms?

You are right, she has been in season longer than usual. The concern with this is that she may have a pyometra which is an infection of the uterus. A pyometra often is fatal if not treated. In this case, there is not much I can recommend for you to try at home. She will need to be seen by a veterinarian for abdominal xrays, if it is found she has a pyometra she will require surgery to remove the infected uterus. I would highly recommend you consider having her checked as soon as possible to rule a pyometra out.

Hope the above helps, if you have additional questions I will be glad to answer them.
