Welcome to JustAnswer! I would be happy to assist you. I am a 2003 graduate from UC Davis and a Medical Director of a veterinarian practice.Hello, Well, as I am sure you understand, I must strongly advise getting into a vet. Also, with a yeast only infection, antibiotics would do nothing. So, more inclined to believe, anyway, that this is both bacteria and yeast. Ideally, although expensive, you need a culture test performed. This is a sterile swab from the ear, so the bacteria can be grown, identified, and the vet is told the best medication to finally kill it. Best I can suggest without a vet is below:Over-the-counter treatments for ear infections. None of the below therapies, alone, are recommended in the treatment of an active bacterial or yeast infection. These are my best suggestions:ZymoxEar cleaner recommendations:TrizEDTA: A ear flush specifically designed to work with antibacterial ear medications to help kill bacteria:TrizEDTA Cleaner Douxo Micellar Cleaner Epi-Otic “Advanced” CleanerGreat Summary about Ear InfectionsHope that info helpsDr. Andy---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If there is something I have not covered for you, please let me know.
