i think the name was meloxicam

Unfortunately, there is nothing over the counter that you could give your dog for pain after being on Meloxicam. Most of the pain killers over the counter are toxic to dogs. In addition, being on Meloxicam it will increase the toxic potential. The only option would be going through an ER veterinary clinical where you can get the prescription refilled.
