Yes, tea tree oil can commonly cause weakness and ataxia (a drunken walk). If you have put tea tree oil on your dog, you should remove it immediately. Do not apply water as this will drive the oil deeper into her skin.
First rub olive oil to the area, and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then use a gentle soap shampoo to remove it and rinse very well. After this, do not apply any other chemicals to her skin (suck as flea and tick preventative) for several days.
