Customer Question

I have rescued 2 very young kittens (sisters). The smaller one is having frequent diarrhoeia and is slow to put on weight, while the other is thriving. We are feeding them chicken breast fillet and fish without any additives. How can I solve this problem.

HI,

Welcome to Just Answer. I'm glad to hear that you've rescued these two and are giving them a good home. At this time, the best thing to do would be to get a general kitten wet and dry food and begin to get them on that. It will be the best balance of nutrition for all their needs as they grow. The diarrhea that you're seeing could be dietary related, or parasite related. I would recommend having both of them seen by your vet to check them over. They can do a stool evaluation as intestinal parasites would be highly suspected at this point given their history.
