my dog is keeps bleeding from his penis he has antibotics but my vet says castration is the cure because it can led to cancer is this correct

Bleeding from the penis can be due to prostate cancer. Castration of him at this time if it is due to cancer wouldn't be considered a cure. Castration can help reduce the size of the prostate if it is enlarged due to hypertrophy. Did your vet do a rectal exam to exam his prostate. If your vet hasn't taken any x-rays of his abdomen to look for bladder stones, they should. I would also consider a bladder ultrasound as it is possible for bladder cancer too unfortunately.
