Hi, I am Dr. Peter and would like to help.

1- Is she spayed?

2- Since when has she been drinking a lot of water?

Customer replied 1156 days and 13 hours ago.

Yes she is spayed and she has been drinking more water in the middle of the night for several weeks. But today she has drank 4 bowls of water and has eaten nothing. She can't seem to get comfortable and is breathing very slowly. She won't eat anything of course is not like a min pin. And yes she is old but always very alert. I have just started worrying about her today. I am not sure if I should wait til the morning to take her to the vet or rush her tonight to a expensive clinic.

When a dog starts drinking more then usual, it is an indication of either an infection, diabetes, kidney disease or even cancer. Given the current state that she is in, I would recommend to not wait until the morning and take her in to ER vet. If she is a diabetic or having kidney problems, she may not make it until the morning. It is best that she is seen tonight.

If you have additional questions I will be glad to answer them.
